Rate of Traffic Accidents in Chicago
Chicago, with a population of three million, is the third-largest city in the United States and a renowned tourist destination. Hundreds of automobile accidents occur annually on Chicago’s roadways owing to the large volume of traffic, leaving drivers and passengers exposed.
In spite of the coronavirus epidemic, stay-at-home orders, and increased social isolation, there was a rise in traffic-related fatalities. The Illinois Department of Transportation predicts that by the year 2020, speeding will have risen dramatically, placing more drivers at danger.
Many lives have been lost on city roads as a result of negligent drivers who were inebriated, driving too quickly, or otherwise irresponsible.
As a consequence, automotive accident victims who are not at fault are in a more dangerous situation. Typically, they must also pay for any required medical treatment. The physical and financial toll of a catastrophic injury may be daunting, but the emotional toll may be as devastating.
