Chicago, IL (January 5, 2023) — Thursday’s rollover collision in the West Loop of the city left four people hospitalized, with two in serious condition, according to officers with the Chicago Police Department.

Near Canal Street and Washington Street at around 1:00 p.m., a Jeep heading westbound on Washington tried to make a left turn, according to Chicago police. The Jeep collided with a Dodge, causing the Dodge to lose control, flip, and strike two people walking on the sidewalk.

According to fire authorities, two pedestrians were reportedly propelled against a neighboring wall and sent to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition.

The driver and passenger of the Dodge were sent to Stroger Hospital, where they are in good condition and expected to recover.

There are currently no more specifics about the ongoing inquiry.

At this time, we’re hoping for the full recovery of all injured victims.
