Chicago, IL (March 19, 2023) – Police in Arlington Heights reported that a vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon, March 18, resulted in five injuries, one of which was serious.
One driver apparently struck a credit union sign at around 1:15 p.m. between Arlington Heights Road and East Magnolia Street, the Arlington Heights Police Department said in a news release.
A 71-year-old Chicago woman was brought to Lutheran General Hospital in critical condition after sustaining a significant head injury.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old driver from Elmwood Park and three other women, ages 62, 73, and 72, who are all from Chicago, were all taken to Northwest Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As of right now, investigators don’t believe that drugs or alcohol played a part in the collision. In the meantime, the collision is currently under investigation by Arlington Heights police and the Large Case Support Team Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction team.
